Our story
It started with 1,500 square feet and a big idea.
In 2016, Natalia Bishop founded Story as a shared studio for photographers. It quickly became a gathering place for creatives and freelancers who wanted both community and a better place to work.
In 2017, Story expanded into 12,000 square feet in NuLu with a broader mission: support entrepreneurs through every stage of the journey and create a third place where work, hospitality, and possibility could live together.

Story exists to help people rise, connect, and create something meaningful. We care deeply about cultivating one of Louisville's most welcoming communities: inclusive in who belongs here, innovative in how we support work, and grounded in relationships that make people feel seen.
